Obama's 1st Weekly YouTube Address

President-Elect Barack Obama has pledged to deliver weekly "fireside chats" via YouTube. He calls for immediate help from Congress to aid unemployment insurance, and calls for all Americans to come together to weather the hard economic road ahead. What's impressive is how it doesn't feel cheesy. It feels as if all Presidential addresses should be delivered via YouTube. What's smart though is that they did disable the coments.

Gilbert Ridin That Barack O'Cock!?!...

Apparently, the Wizards (seemingly permanently injured with a leg that’s cost us the playoffs year, after year, after year) guard is "Crazy In Love" with President-Elect Barack Obama. So crazy, in fact, that he’s tatted up with Obama.

Ever since last Tuesday’s historical election, the U.S. of A. has been running wild with Obamamaniacs and Gilbert Arenas of the Washington Wizards may be the biggest one. Not only did Gilbert get Obama inspired tattoos, he’s also getting a mural at his home:

Arenas has decided to show his permanent support of President-elect Barack Obama with a tattoo. Arenas had the words “Change We Believe In” tattooed onto the fingers of his left hand in cursive writing. Then, Gilbert showed the outside of his pinky finger, which had “44? inked on it.

Arenas has gone all out for Obama, adding that he hired an artist last week to paint a mural with Obama’s family on one side and Arenas’s fiancee and children on another side of a wall in Arenas’s house. “He united people,” Arenas said of Obama. “By him winning, it showed the world that we’re not as racist as people think we are. I think that’s the beauty of [the election]. Not just because he’s the first African American president. America is not as bad as people think we are.”

Now… I’m a Barack Obama fan like most of you out there… but this is just a little “extra extra” in my opinion. Just think if you saw a few rednecks in Kentucky with George Bush tattoos and Dubya painted on the side of their barn… you’d probably say “these right wing, Dubya freak hicks”.

Now is that "Change we cannot believe in" or what!? This the same guy who wasn't votin for Obama cuz he was gonna raise taxes! I’m just saying though. He needs to get his team in the right mindset…the wizards are the worst in the league right now with a 1-5 start for the '08 season. Those are my boys, but cot’ damn, the Knicks. It ain't even like they been close. Gil has lost my respect until he gets back on the damn court and fries people like he did KB back in ‘06. Yes He Can!!

Full Presidential Debate

Last nights debate was BORING! but there were a few high points(for Obama supporters). Obama did very well at holding his ground not allowing McCain to attack him and therefore exploit Barack as weak. After quoting Theodore Roosevelt's "Speak softly, but carry a big stick." refering to Bin Laden and the Al-Quieda terrorists, McCain accused Obama as speaking too loudly.

McCain
said, "In fact, he said he wants to announce that he's going to attack Pakistan. Remarkable."
Obama shot back: "Nobody called for the invasion of Pakistan... If Pakistan is unable or unwilling to hunt down Bin Laden and take him out, then we should."

Obama then stated, "This is the guy who sang, 'Bomb, bomb, bomb Iran, who called for the annihilation of North Korea. That, I don't think, is an example of speaking softly."

Though there were no major slip-ups, Many view Obama as the winner because McCain fell short of what was needed of him. But Obama did not just win by default, he stood his ground very well, and spoke very intelligently on the questins asked and problems our nation is undergoing.

Presidential Debate TONIGHT!

With just four weeks left and registration over, tonight is a very important presidential debate. At this moment Obama has an 8% lead over McCain in the CCN polls. Tonight Obama must cement his standings while McCain is expected to try and build up his campaign by proving to voters that he is capable of addressing the crisis in the credit, housing and stock markets. (though I believe McCains' strategy is all about tearing down Obama)

Both nominees have condemned character attacks in the past:
McCain - "Americans are sick and tired of the personal attacks, the impugning of integrity"
Obama - "We can't afford the same old partisan food fight. We can't afford a politics that's all about tearing opponents down instead of lifting the country up."
But recently both have stooped to such deeds.

Current Standings:

I Need You

Barack Obama has a message for the readers of Vibe Magazine; "I Need You." In a letter to be published in the November issue, the Democratic presidential candidate is given a page to address the readers of the urban music monthly magazine. In it, Obama urges them to register to vote(too bad it will be too late when it hits stands). “I am running for president to take this country in a new direction. But I can’t do it alone. I need you.” the letter reads.

Obama will take the cover of Vibe magazine for the second time, the first was the Sep 07' issue.

F#@K it, Don't Vote!

"Darfur, I don't even know what the F#@k that is, that sounds like a T-shirt company to me!."

No, really, PLEASE VOTE! If you aren't registered you only have like 2 DAYS, then you're useless. Not only for yourself, people across the globe rely on who becomes our next president and yet every election not even half the nation votes(which in some cases is a good thing, there are some retarded people out there...). So please ask your friends, relatives, coworkers if they're registered and if not do your very best to convince them that this is SO VERY IMPORTANT! Spiderman votes, why not you?

"You can literally register to vote while your pooping, if you have laptop."

Obama & McCain's Full Debate

I feel last night was not a total success for Obama. McCain came prepared with a arsenal of lies, which kept Obama on the defensive stance throughout the night. Neither candidate touched on the economic crisis we are experiencing and McCain finished his debate very well in the political mind by speaking directly to those who are in fear of terrorism by stating that with his skill from the military he would make the country a safer place. Biden v. Palin on thursday. This should be fun!
