Gears of War 2 "Snowblind" Map Pack (3) Available NOW!

Today the third Gears of War 2 Map Pack was released to the public for their enjoyment. As the title states all the included maps have a snowy feel to them, even the fan favorite from the OG Gears "Fuel Depot" woth it snowy decor giving it a subtle feel, a little less menacing.

The pack includes:

Fuel Depot
Courtyard
Grind Yard
Underhill

I think I will be waiting a while for these as I spent $10 for the previous maps and played on the maybe a dozens times the first week they were released.

Last Day

Two weeks 1 day and counting...If you're going to the midnight launch (which I will be) then there's about exactly 2 weeks. All I can say is Wow! I didn't think they could top the Mad World ad (no game in my mind did), and the Rendezvous one was great, but this tops em both. You kinda get a quick feel for each character. The songs EPIC & Microsoft choose are fantastic. What a great marketing team they have for their gaming division. Software, don't think they've been showin' up to work lately. Anyway you can catch the video on TV Nov. 2 during Sunday Night's Colts v. Patriots game on NBC.

Flashback Map Pack Comps

As every Gears fan should know, when you buy GOW 2 new you get a code for some DLC. In that content are 5 maps from the original GOW. The Flashback pack consists of:

1. Gridlock - A fan fav. every time I searched for a game this is what I found
2. Canals - My personal favorite map of all time
3. Subway - another favorite (was it really raining that whole time)
4. Mansion - Dark, and raining adding to the haunted house spooky mansion theme
5. Tyro Station - Personally hated this map, train was a nice addition

You've probably seen the amazing improvements on Gridlock but take a look at some of the others. After checking out all the beautiful comps they all seem to have improved in the graphics department. Other than that EPIC decided to add a lot more detail to each and every map vastly improving the sense of reality. Just take a look at the backgrounds in each screenshot.

This Guy Can Paint!!

Alex Ross is a comic book artist an amazing one at that. He is painting the cover for the new game Mortal Kombat v. DC Universe. Wait til the end an check the detail he put into the characters. MK v. DC releases Nov. 11th for the PS3 & 360.

NBA 2K9 Looks Amazing!

As you all know I'm active in the gaming community, so today I'm talking NBA 2K9 and after watching this trailer, NBA 2K9 keeps looking better and better. For the past few years EA Sports has been throwin' up bricks(no pun intended) with their releases causing many of their fans to switch to different titles in response(I believe 2K8 outsold Live 08). Kobe & LBJ were nowhere to be seen(which is a good thing), but there didn't seem to be enough Gilbert in that video. There was plenty of realistic graphics, a sense of weight in the game(ie. NBA Live 05 & below), and a less crowded court. NBA 2K9 drops tomo... today?
I won't be picking it up because I have other priorities but you guys should try it out, especially if you've got a Gamefly subscription.

Own a Mac? You too can play this Gorgeous looking game. Just downloaded it today and its pretty fun. Feist is a 2D platformer by Zurich students Florian Faller and Adrian Stutz, in which you guide a little Soot Sprite-looking guy around and basically... do stuff.
